Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred continues to cause significant impact to Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales, bringing strong winds, heavy rainfall, and flooding that has 280 mobile tower site and many individual Vonex services on the NBN networks in these regions offline due to power outages, largest impact being major NBN outage in Nerang on the Gold Coast.
NBN and Optus Mobile have activated emergency management teams and deployed additional local resources throughout the region to manage power outages and work with emergency services to restore services weather conditions permitting.
