Severe weather across the East Coast of NSW is impacting the commercial power supply, resulting in disruptions on the NBN and Mobile Phone networks. These conditions are likely to delay network and service restoration activities. The recovery efforts will be coordinated by upstream with guidance from the commercial power providers and Emergency Services. Technicians will be dispatched to sites only when it is safe to do so.
Optus have indicated interruption to mobile services on the NSW Central and South Coast, New England, Newcastle and South West Sydney. They have flagged ACMA Significant Local Outage status for services in Greghamstown and Rockley.
NBN have advised some restorations but that 525 NBN services across all NBN RSPs in the impacted geographical regions still present issues, across the following technologies: Fibre to the Node (FTTN), and Fixed Wireless.
NBN locations Impacted with ACMA Significant Local Outage status: Bendalong, Bumble Hill, Kulnura East, Moss Vale, North Nowra, and Ulladulla.
While an estimated time for resolution is not yet available, restoring service is the highest priority.
