Affected services: Mobile Voice and Mobile Data Affected area: Port Douglas - Daintree, QLD Cause: Unplanned Equipment failure

Emergency Call Service (000): The impact on calls to Emergency Services is currently under investigation or may vary. Customers may not be able to contact Emergency Services using the Optus mobile network unless they are within coverage of another mobile network provider or are able to call over WiFi.

Ongoing Impacts from Severe Weather Event in Brisbane QLD 26/10/2025

While the Vonex network as a whole remains fully functional, Vonex is continuing to see impacts to individual client services from the severe weather event that occurred 26/10/2025 sweeping from the Darling Downs towards South East Queensland. A number local power outages continue to persist as carrier and Energex teams work to complete infrastructure restorations in Brisbane, we request that confirmation of power is obtained when troubleshooting any service issues.
